This stone contains a small baby Nursallia fish. These fish are now extinct; they belong to the
Pycnodontiformes and are highly sought after by collectors and museums.
The fossil comes from the Cretaceous deposits of Hgula in Lebanon.
The fish is complete and very detailed.
A beautiful display piece - the fossil is attractively positioned in the center of the original
matrix.
The stone is unbroken and measures approximately 8 x 7.5 x 1.3 cm. The fish is approximately
28 mm long.
Nursallia is rarely offered for sale, and such a small specimen as this is hard to find on the
market. This is the first time we have something like this for sale, and we own only this one piece.
No tampering!
