Rugoconites, Ediacare-Biota

This rare fossil of Rugoconites comes from the Precambrian - Ediacaran period in Jin Jia Dong, Xu Pu County, 
Hunan Province, China. 

This fossil is more than 570 million years old.

The creature measures approximately 4.3 cm in diameter. The stone is unbroken and measures approximately 
9.5 x 6 x 3 cm.

Fossils of the Ediacaran biota are extremely rare and seldom offered for sale.

A genuine specimen - no manipulations - everything in its original, as-found condition.

Note: These fossils were recently re-identified.

The specimen offered here comes from a decades-old collection. Something like this is no longer available 
nowadays, especially since the site where it was found is now strictly protected.
