Products description

This armored fish (Placoderm) Millerosteus minor dates back to the Middle Devonian age.
It was found at the Orkney Islands in Scotland.

The fossil measures approximately 9 cm. The stone is original, it was broken once and have been
glued professionally. The dimensions are approximately 12 x 10 x 1 cm.

The preservation of the fish is excellent. Even the tail is preserved (which is often not the case
at these fossils).
The animal displays the finest details. The preparation was carried out very precisely, carefully,
and with modern tools. A careful work using sandblasting under a binocular microscope has created
an excellent museum piece.

This species is one of the smallest Placoderms known.

Not varnished - no manipulations whatsoever!
