This magnificent plant fossil, Pecopteris cyathea, comes from the Permian (Rotliegendes - Sponheim Formation) of Bad Sobernheim in Germany. It comes from an old collection and was discovered in the year 1974. The locality (Ziegelei Eimer) is famous for its magnificently preserved plant fossils. Unfortunately, the site has been inaccessible for a long time. Fossils from there are all old finds and therefore rarely come onto the market. This piece comes from an estate. The slab is unbroken and measures approximately 13 x 6.5 x 1 cm. A genuine piece without any tampering.
