Products description

This magnificent plant fossil, Pecopteris cyathea was found in the Permian layers (Rotliegendes) of Bad Sobernheim
in Germany.

It comes from an old collection and was discovered in 1974. The site (Ziegelei Eimer) is famous for its beautifully
preserved plant fossils.
Unfortunately the site has been inaccessible for a long time. Fossils from there are all old finds and therefore
rarely appear on the market. This piece comes from an estate.

The slab is unbroken and measures approximately 20 x 18 x 3 cm.

A genuine piece without any tampering.
