This great plant fossil Pecopteris cyathaea comes from the Perm (Sponheim-Formation, Rotliegendes) of Bad Sobernheim in Germany.
The location (brick pit "Eimer") is world famous for its magnificently preserved plant fossils. Unfortunately the location has long been inaccessible and fossils from there are very rare on the market. This piece comes from an old collection.
The stone is unbroken, it measures about 19 x 13,5 x 2,5 cm.
Honest piece - no varnish, no paint, no manipulations.
