This fossil of a cicada comes from the Lower Cretaceous (Crato Formation - Santana Formation) of Nova Olinda (Araripe Basin) of Brazil.
The age of this piece is about 125 million years.

The insect measures 2.6 cm. The stone is unbroken, it measures about 9.5 x 9 x 1 cm.
