Grasshopper with ovipositor # 2

This fossil of a grasshopper comes from the Lower Cretaceous (Crato Formation - Santana Formation) of 
Nova Olinda (Araripe Basin) of Brazil. The age of this fossil is around 125 million years.

An interesting detail is the preserved ovipositor (egg-laying apparatus)

The finsect measures about 5,5 cmm the matrix is unbroken and measures approximately 10,5 x 10 x 1 cm.
