Stromatolithes, oligocene age

This stromatholite specimen is from the Oligocene of Gannat in France.

Due to embedding in clayey rock, the fossil is beautifully preserved in three 
dimensions (cauliflower-like).

The fossil is unbroken and has a natural "stand". The height of the piece is about 
16 cm and the diameter of the base is 9 cm. measures approximately 16 x 11 x 11 cm. 
It's very stable and solid.

Rarely offered and detailed fossil without any manipulation!
