Aspiration: fish eats fish # 1

This fossil was found in the eocene layers (Green River Formation) of Lincoln Co., Wyoming, USA.

It is an Aspiration, meaning "fish eats fish". The tail of the smaller fish is still inside the mouth of the bigger one.

The fishes are Mioplosus and Knightia.

The fossil measures about 10 x 4 cm. The matrix was broken once and have been repaired. It measures about 14 x 9 cm. No other manipulations.
