This is a dinosaur egg nest with two eggs. The fossil dates back to the Cretaceous period and is about 80 million years old.
The piece comes from an old collection, we acquired it unprepared and did preparation ourselves i our laboratory. Both eggs are about 95% still covered by the original shell.
These are unhatched eggs! There may even be remnants of the embryos in it. Often hatched eggs are uncovered from the bottom to give the appearance of undamaged and completely preserved eggs.
