This beautiful stone with Ammonites Dactylioceras athleticum comes from the lower Jurassic (Lias, under Toarcium) from Schlaifhausen near Forchheim in Germany. The age of this fossil is also approximately 189 million years. This site has long been considered a classic site for these ammonites. Unfortunately, it is now completely exploited, new finds are no longer possible and so this piece comes from an old collection. The stone is solid and stable, it measures about 27 x 20 x 6 cm. It is original and unbroken and weighs about 2,5 kilograms. Such large slabs are rarely available today. The back of the stone contains a belemnite also. Honest piece without any manipulations.
