This plate with a Placoderm fish fossil comes from the lower Devonian of Waxweiler / Eifel in Germany.
The age of this fossil is approximately 400 million years.
The fossil measures approximately 2.5 cm. The stone is original and unbroken, it measures about 5 x 5 x 1.5 cm.
Wonderfully preserved - you can clearly recognice the typcal structures of the "skin"
