Cave lion bone

This leg bone from the cave lion Panthera Leo spelaea comes from the Pleistocene sediments 
of a gravel pit near Mannheim in Germany.

The fossil is unbroken and about 27 cm in length.

Cave lion fossils are very rare finds and are highly sought after by collectors and museums.

The piece is in its original condition, just as found, without any manipulations.
