This tooth of Dakosaurus were found in the upper jurassic layers (Zeta 3) of Mühlheim near Solnhofen in Germany. Dakosaurus was a marine representative of Crocodiles with a short snout. This species is now extinct.
The tooth is huge, it measured remarkeably 53 mm in length. The preservation is sensational. A perfectly preserved huge tooth of this rare Solnhofen reptile centrally located on unbroken original matrix!
