Leptomeryx - dwarf deer - skull cast

This is a copy of a skull of the extinct dwarf deer species Leptomeryx.

The original fossil comes from the Oligocene - the "White River Badlands" of South Dakota in the USA.

This replica was professionally made - the difference to the original fossil is barely recognizable, it was made of epoxy resin and is handcoloured.
