Giant deer Megaloceros antler

This partial antler of Megaloceros giganteus was found in the pleistocene layers of Bensheim in Germany.

The fossil is unbroken and measures about 53 cm in length.

Nice piece with no manipulations at all!

These "giant deers" lived about 400000-9500 years ago. In Europe they extinct about 11.500 years ago.

Fossils of these animals are highly sought after by collectors.
