This partial snake was found in the eocene layers of Messel pit in Germany.
This fossil was prepared (as usual with Messel fossils) by using the plastic-transfere-method to preserve it permanently.
The slab is unbroken, it measures about 16,5 x 13,5 cm.
Snakes are among the rarest finds in Messel and are very seldom seen for sale
This location is world famous (Unseco world heritage site) and closed for a long time.
