Here we offer a nice jaw of the fish Pycnodus pellei. It was found in the cretaceous phosphate layers of Kouribga, Moroc.
This type of fish went extinct during the eocene epoch and has no recent relatives.
The jaw measures about 3,5 cm and shows 17 well preserved teeth. The stone measures about 10 x 9 cm. In addition to the jaw the stone contains several unprepped bones and vertebrae on both sides.
Nice fossil with attractive colours.
No manipulations at all!
