Leptolepis bronni Lias

This fish Leptolepis bronni was found in the the Lower Jurassic layers (Lias epsilon) of Sulzkirchen in Germany.

It was found in the 1970´s during the construction of the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal. It is not possible to find any more fossils at this location nowadays.

The fish measures about 5 cm. The matrix is unbroken and original, it measures about 10 x 4,5 cm.
