Fish eats fish # 2

This rare "fish eats fish" aspiration fossil was found in the oligocene layers of Jamna Dolni in Poland.

Both fishes are Serranus Budensis ... the appetite was bigger than the mouth and so both fishes did not survive this last meal...

The fossil measures about 5 cm. The unbroken original matrix measures approximately 10,5 x 8 cm.

Rare and hard to come by museum piece!
