Products description

These two molars of the Woolly Rhinoceros Coelodonta antiquitatis come from the Pleistocene
sediments of a gravel pit near Speyer in Germany.

The two teeth are from the same individual. They are wonderfully preserved and massive.

The fossils are quite large and heavy, they are strongly mineralized. The larger tooth
measures about 11 x 7 x 7 cm and weighs about 350 grams.

A root of one tooth had broken off and was reattached - no further manipulations.

Rhinoceros fossils from Germany are seldom found and sought after by collectors and museums.
