Coelacanth - middle triassic age

Here is something very special: An extremely rare triassic age Coelacanth.

It was found in the year 1999 in the middle triassic layers (upper Muschelkalk) of WÃŒrzburg in Germany.

The nodule is unbroken, the fish measures about 10 cm in length.

This one is a highlight exhibition for every Trias-collection!
