This fossil Salamander Chelotriturus paradotus dates from the miocene age of Cracanica in Bosnia.
The animal measures about 15,5 cm. It is located in the middle of two unbroken original slabs (21 x 10 x 1,5 cm).
The Salamander has positiv/negativ preservation. Of course you´ll receive both slabs.
The conservation and preparation of this ambhibian is excellent, you can see the skin contour and even the stomach contents are preserved. The last meal of this animal was a snail whose shell has been preserved for millions of years in the abdominal cavity of this animal.
Fossils of this location are rarely offered for sale.
