Coelacanth triassic

This fossil has been identified as the rarely offered Coelacanth "Whiteia woodwardi", from an triassic nodule commonly found in basins around Ankitokazo in North-Western Madagascar.

The nodule measures about 7,5 x 4,5 cm.

The stone was broken once and has been glued. No other manipulations.
