Products description
This great ammonite of the genus Harpoceras comes from the "Posidonienschiefer" (lower Jurassic, Lias epsilon) of Holzmaden in Germany.
The fossil is completely preserved and even the jaw (Aptychus) is preserved. There is a lot of work in this piece, the fossil was inserted into a visually attractive slab. On the backside there is a hanger, so you can immediately hang the fossil on a wall.
The ammonite measures about 22 cm. The plate is unbroken, it measures about 40 x 30 cm.
Nice piece from famous classic location.
