Products description

This large dragonfly Aeschnogomphus buchi HAGEN, 1848 comes from the upper Jura (Malm) of Eichstädt.

This species is, in comparison with its species-related Aeschnogomphus intermedius MÜNSTER, 1893 much more rare.

The preservation of the insect is exceptionally good. The body is well preserved and the wing veining very detailed.

The wingspan is remarkably 17.5 cm.

Nothing was completed or colored at the dragonfly. The fossil was provided with a fine, non-shiny varnish for protection.

The plate was broken, it was glued professionally. The stone measures approximately 46 x 30 x 1 cm.

Museum piece of a classic world-famous place of discovery.
