Location: Zhoukoudian cave near Peking, China

Age about 300.000 years

It shows a spongy hyperostosis of the skull as it is observed in iron-deficiency anemia - probably caused by parasite infestation.

The people at this time often suffers from these kind of symptoms which unfortunately are often misinterpretated as species-specific features.

This cast is handcoloured and made of Epoxi. The colours might be a little differend than shown on the pictures. Because of the handcraft every cast is unique.
