Wood miocene age

This piece of fossilized wood was found in the "Tagebau Berzdorf" from Hagenweiler near G?rlitz in Germany.

It measures about 8 cm in length and about 3 cm in diameter.

The fossil is unbroken and has no manipulations at all.

Fossil site is closed since 2001 today there it is a lake.
