Pecpteris cyathea, rare Permian plant

This fantastic plant fossil Pecopteris cyathea comes from the Permian (Rotliegendes - Sponheim Formation) of
Bad Sobernheim in Germany.

It originates from an old collection, dating back to 1974. The site (Ziegelei Eimer) is renowned for its magnificently
preserved plant fossils. Unfortunately, the site has long been inaccessible.

Fossils from there are all old finds and therefore very rarely appear on the market. This particular fossil comes from an estate.

The slab is unbroken and measures approximately 9,5 x 9,5 x 1,5 cm.

An authentic and rare piece without any manipulations.
