This fossil Dipterus fish comes from the Middle Devonian period of Scotland (Old Red) - Orkney Islands. 
This fossil is approximately 380 million years old.

Dipterus is an extinct genus of lungfish whose fossils are extremely rare. The rarity of this species 
makes them highly sought-after collectibles for museums and collectors.

The fish is completely preserved and measures approximately 20 cm. The stone measures approximately 
25.5 x 11 x 2 cm.

The stone was broken and have been glued.

An interesting object for an advanced collection.
