Hyena humerus

 This humerus bone of a juvenile hyena comes from Pleistocene layers.

The fossil was found in a gravel pit near Bensheim in Hessen/Germany.

It measures about 12 cm, is unbroken and has no manipulations at all.

Fossils of hyenas are highly sought after by collectors and museums as they are rare finds.
