Ammonites slab

These stonewith several ammonites Dactylioceras athleticum comes from the lower Jura (Lias, under Toarcium) of Schlaifhausen near Forchheim. The age of this fossil is also about 189 million years.

This site has long been considered a classic site for these ammonites. Unfortunately, it is now completely exploited, new finds are no longer possible and so this piece also come from an old collection. 

No manipulations.
